How your Council Tax bill is calculated

Did you know you can now go paperless and view your Council Tax bill online? To set this up please login or register to manage your account online.

Your Council Tax bill shows how much different authorities receive for providing local services. Below is an example breakdown of these charges, which are known as precepts.

An average band D property will now pay Council Tax at £2,574.37. This includes the council's own Council Tax charge (£2,067.63) plus the charges set by each parish council, the Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia and Hereford and Worcester Fire Authority.
